Title: A.T.O.N.
Author: Lindsay Anne Kendall Genre: Action Date of Publication: January 26th, 2016 Published by: Lindsay Anne Kendall Number of Pages:Paperback, 330 pages I am not a big fan of action books, therefore this review may be not as reliable. However, Lindsay's other previous series was incredible!! For me, A.T.O.N. was an okay read. I did not dislike it but I did not love it. I feel like I did not have a strong connection towards the characters. Also, the chemistry between the characters fell a little flat. Throughout the story, the book tended to be dialogue-heavy which, to me, makes the story quicker to read. The characters were enjoyable. I didn't really like Declan. I felt that he was too invested in revenge. I really liked how Lindsay added the flashbacks of K. I really wish we had more backstories for the characters so that I could connect with them more. The action in this book was not great. I felt it was overshadowed by the dialogue. I always enjoy books that are dialogue-heavy but this had too much dialogue at times. I did enjoy the overall premise of this series starter and cannot wait to see how it all plays out. You can see how much Lindsay grows as an author. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
